A larger dose (10-15 drops), taken three or four times at the beginning of a major headache, can often stop it from coming on or moderate its pain and length. A really large dose (a dropper full or 40 drops) will make you very sleepy.
Caution – Skullcap can be used regularly, however, extremely high doses (more than 40 drops or more than 1 dropperful at a time) can cause giddiness, stupor, confusion and twitching.
