Contraindications: Pau d’arco can delay clotting and interfere with bleeding disorders and it may increase the chances of bruising.
Stop using Pau d’arco at least two weeks before a scheduled surgery; also, avoid using blood-clotting medications such as anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs.
Do not use Pau d’arco when pregnant or lactating and do not give to children.
